I joined some pro-Trump and QAnon/Save the Children groups to research a blog on the coming American Election/Coup D’etat.
Frankly what I found was too strange to get my head round, a combination of authoritarianism, conspiracy theories, and new age weirdness. I expected to find fanaticism but all I found was heart breaking loneliness and a surprisingly large number of people called Crystal.
Chief among these alien terrors is the the true horror of nightmare Trump art.

I stumbled on to your page from a Google image search…of yes… some pro Trump art… It made me want to contact a Curator friend who did a catalog of Anti Trump Art…(still might direct her your way) But you should check out Mira Shor’s brilliant work… and Kate Kretz, both important voices on the subject. But for fun get yourself a copy of Karen Gutfreund’s “Not Normal: Art in the Age of Trump”. As an artist myself I refuse to give this wanker one more second of my creative energy. But there have been many of us doing good stuff… not just AI fuckery since 2015 when Agent Orange glided down the golden escalator into Art History.
Thanks for the comment, I will check out your blog and the people who you recommend. Trump is creating a fascist movement in the US. Not the Hitler kind of fascist, but the 2nd rate kind like Pinochet. It’s hard to tell that story sometimes, as the MAGA/QAnon movement mutates rapidly. But through their art you can tell the story of their long march into fantasy. As a middle aged man I can appreciate the attraction of retreating into a fantasy world, but why create one so totally awful?
It’s funny I did not know about the maga romance novel thing… I had wanted to do maga romance novel covers as a joke…’Stormy’s Steamy Love’ kind of nonsense… collected all kinds of images in folders and just blew it off. (this whole level of crazy is exhausting) The fact that they really exist is just nuts, and frankly frightening. But I know it’s a trend in the dating apps even in a good way with Jan 6 participants bragging to possible dates about their involvement and getting outed, by democrats trolling conservative dating sites. Anyways, thanks for responding. I’m not good at blogging, not even sure if my trump art got posted. I just looked through the catalog I told you about again and it really is pretty F*ING brilliant. I know there is so much more out there too. Yes art really does shine the light on things… AI is perfect for that fascist essence.
